Nutritional therapy

What is it?

Nutritional therapy considers your diet, lifestyle and environmental factors which could be contributing to your health problems.

What does it involve?

You will be asked to complete a comprehensive client history form prior to your first consultation.  When we meet I will then discuss your health history and symptoms in more detail and suggest changes to your diet or lifestyle which should help to improve your health problems.  I will take notes throughout and provide various information handouts.

Some clients may be advised to take a test (eg. blood or stool) which will help to diagnose suspect underlying causes of their health problems.  You are not under any obligation to have these tests as they do incur additional costs.

Supplements may also be advised to treat your symptoms and enhance your body's healing process.  Supplements only contain natural ingredients but in many cases are just as potent, if not more so than pharmaceutical drugs.  Again, these will incur an additional charge whether bought through me or from a preferred outlet of your choice.

Follow up consultations will review improvements to your health and consider further changes and/or supplements to maximise your well-being.  Nutritional therapy is similar to the work of a detective - it takes considerable investigation to discover the underlying causes for your ill health.

What health problems can nutritional therapy help?

Food and water fuel our body in the same way that a car needs petrol and oil to run at full par.  Nutritional therapy recommends sensible, yet nutrient rich foods to encourage your body to heal itself.  It should help resolve many of the health ailments listed below.

Poor energy levels - headaches and migraines - poor immunity - lacklustre skin, hair or nails - tips for weightloss

Mental and Emotional Imbalances
Mood swings and irritability -anxiety - depression - poor sleep - chronic fatigue syndrome (M.E.)

Digestive imbalances
IBS - Crohn’s disease - leaky gut syndrome - ulcers - food allergies - food intolerances - Coeliac disease - Candida

Serious diseases
Heart disease - cancer - arthritis - Parkinsons disease - asthma - eczema - psoriasis - diabetes - low or high thyroid function

Female health
PMS - menopause- endometriosis- infertility - preparing for pregnancy - cystitis - thrush

Male health
Impotence, prostate problems, infertility and/or improving fertility

Children’s health problems
Constant colds or earache, digestion, IQ and behaviour problems - attention deficit disorder

If you have a health problem which I have not listed please contact me and I will be happy to see if I can help you.
